Please don't confuse the vape-pen with the e-cigarette.

It looks like an e-cigarette but it's not.

The vape-pen is a delivery system for medicinal herbal extracts. The atomizer core and shell are made of surgical stainless steel. Vape pen operates at a lower temperature than nicotine delivery devices. The boiling point of nicotine is higher than the boiling point of THC. Nicotine delivery devices are not efficient for herbal medications. We would love to see e-cigarettes used as smoking cessation devices. However, they can only be legally used to supplement tobacco smoking.

The atomizer used in the e-cigarette can be adapted to deliver other substances. Different plant extracts and herbs will boil or vaporize at different temperatures. By controlling the temperature, it is possible to release certain fractions in the formula by programming the temperature of atomization of each component. Since the vape-pen is microprocessor controlled, the temperature can be regulated by changing the 'firmware' code.

Why are e-cigarettes cheaper?

e-Cigarettes are CHEAPER in every way. There are inexpensive and poorly made e-cigarettes available for half the price of a vape-pen. They all operate at the vapor temperature of tobacco extract because they are designed to be nicotine delivery devices. The materials used in constructing these cheap and often disposable units are not high quality. Cheap e-cigarettes may contain aluminum, lead and other toxic materials.
